Madison McFerrin is an independent singer and songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. The daughter of acclaimed vocalist Bobby McFerrin, Madison comes from music royalty. However, this hasn’t stopped her from committing to her craft in a unique and authentic way. Madison first appeared on the scene in 2016, with her self-released EP “Finding Foundations: Vol 1.” It was a critical success, showcasing her soulful take on the Acappella sound. She followed this up with the EP “Finding Foundations: Vol II” released in 2018. This further solidified her distinctive sound, which Questlove dubbed “soul-appella.”

For her COLORS debut, McFerrin enchanted fans with the delicate intonations of her single “Try.” The song garnered over 1M views and landed on Spotify’s “New Music Friday” playlist. She would later release “You + I” in 2019 as her third EP, which had 6 tracks and no features. For this project, Madison collaborated with her brother, Taylor McFerrin, a DJ and music producer. Taking a modern production approach, Taylor helped his sister expand her sound with varied instrumentation. Madison is known for her naked-truth lyrics that are very relatable. She has covered themes such as sacrifice in relationships while also emphasizing the importance of self-love.

For those days that you are in the mood for that authentic black girl magic soulful vibe, Madison McFerrin should definitely be on your playlist. Follow her on her socials to stay up-to-date with all her latest music and shows.
