Ever since releasing her debut album in 2014, American singer, songwriter, and actress Tinashe has always been about making music with good energy. That is no more evident than from her fifth studio album “333.” Released independently on August 6th., 2021, the album is packed with some excellent tracks that demonstrate the singer’s uncanny ability to transform and inspire. Her ninth single, “Undo (Back To My Heart)” ft Wax Motif, is particularly great. It’s an innovative mix of sugary synth-wave and anticipative club bass, culminating in a crowd-friendly dance track.
In the video, the alternative R&B pop singer goes virtual. The animated video shows Tinashe and her partner in a video game simulation where they must fend off various enemies. If there’s one thing that this single demonstrates is that Tinashe is no ordinary R&B singer. Leaving a major label is always a risk. But it’s a risk she was willing to take. And it has paid off. From her first track, “Let Go” to “Undo (Back To My Heart)” to “Its a Wrap,” Tinashe showcases her sultry voice and skills as a record producer and dancer. Going independent might as well be the thing that launches her as the new alternative R&B princes. That aside,“Undo (Back To My Heart)” is an excellent piece that you should definitely add to your playlist.
